Update August 12th

Sunny weather has led to some excellent progress.

The wood trim on units 44-28 will be complete by early next week, pending final deficiencies.

Staining of shakes on units 44-28 will begin next week, starting at unit 28 and working up.

Units 1-12 will be washed throughout next week, and painting of the wood trim on these units will also commence next week.

Unit 20 through 44 have been washed. Units 21 through 27 are painted. We are finally starting to stain.

Units 20-27 and 39-49 have been washed. We are continuing to clean units. We have the samples up and will start painting once they are approved.

Update

We have been slowly plugging along on cleaning of the railings and verticle beams. We will start cleaning siding on Monday. We will be getting paint and stain samples up on Tuesday for the strata to approve. We expect to be picking up the pace by mid next week.

The start!

The cleaning is about to start. We will hand deliver a notice to your door when we are about to clean your unit. We are starting on unit 20-27, and a notice was delivered on Sunday. We will typically give a minimum of 48 hours notice.

We will be using a 15% bleach solution that will not be harmful to your plants.

We ask that you please close your windows during the pressure washing phase. We also request you remove all items from your deck and away from the exterior walls. All items that can’t be removed from the deck can be placed in the centre of the deck and covered to allow access to the exterior walls.

All Christmas lights and other items attached to the building must be removed to allow proper cleaning and painting.

I would expect painting/staining to start in the next couple of weeks.
